Chandigarh: In more trouble for 'godman' Rampal, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday cancelled the bail granted to him in the 2006 murder case.
The HC has also directed the Haryana Police to produce Rampal before it at 2 pm on Thursday when it likely to take up a suo motu case of contempt of court against the 'godman'.
Rampal, a co-conspirator in the 2006 murder case has been out on bail since 2008 April. He was arrested late on Wednesday from his ashram in Hisar after three days of high drama. As many as six people lost their lives in the clashes between police and Rampal supporters. Haryana Police slapped fresh cases, including the serious charge of sedition, against Rampal.
The HC has also directed the Haryana Police to produce Rampal before it at 2 pm on Thursday when it likely to take up a suo motu case of contempt of court against the 'godman'.
